This interactive exhibition features flat screen monitors showcasing events in the history of ART Network, the award- winning, student-operated television network now entering its 5th year at Ringling College. A Periscope station invites users to record live and stream around the world. A green-screen station offers visitors the opportunity to take on the role of director, actor and cinematographer. Viewers can choose short programs to watch on iPads or select longer offerings, such as the award-winning documentary, Art (R) evolution which premiered in 2014. Interviews with notable visitors to Sarasota such as Kevin Smith, Cheryl Hines and Sissy Spacek, and talks by local artists, scientists and thinkers captured by ART Network are included in this exhibition. On Thursday evening from 6:30 to 8:00 we will be hosting a wine tasting on our deck. Selwyn Birchwood stumbled upon the blues at age 17 at a Buddy Guy concert in Orlando. After witnessing the raw energy and power the music created, he decided to pursue music. Ever since, Birchwood has worked to convey the same intensity and feeling of the blues greats by honing his skills. Following a successful national tour with Texas Bluesman Sonny Rhodes, Selwyn and his band took first place in 2009s Central Florida Blues Challenge. This win offered them a chance to compete in the International Blues Challenge held in Memphis, Tenn., where they finished in the top four of the Beale Street Blues Kings semi-finals competition. Selwyn is backed by a rock-solid rhythm section that is as bluesy as it gets. Huff Wright (Bass) and Calvin Craddock (Drums) are seasoned veterans and no strangers to the road. Carmen Ciricillo has been touring nationally since 1990 as The Construction Comic . He has created a humorous routine about life as a contractor which everyone can understand. ‘My act plays well for every group’ says the comedian. In fact, XM and Sirius Satellite Radio has been playing Carmens Construction Comedy CD to their audiences of over 10 million subscribers. Carmen received rave reviews after performing with Richard Lewis at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts for the Gilda Radner charity, Gilda’s Club. Carmen also has recently opened for Michael Bolton and Englebert Humperdinck. Carmen’s act plays well for all groups because anyone can relate to it, but his core groups are those affiliated with the construction industry.

Selwyn Birchwood stumbled upon the blues at age 17 at a Buddy Guy concert in Orlando. After witnessing the raw energy and power the music created, he decided to pursue music. Ever since, Birchwood has worked to convey the same intensity and feeling of the blues greats by honing his skills. Following a successful national tour with Texas Bluesman Sonny Rhodes, Selwyn and his band took first place in 2009s Central Florida Blues Challenge. This win offered them a chance to compete in the International Blues Challenge held in Memphis, Tenn., where they finished in the top four of the Beale Street Blues Kings semi-finals competition. Selwyn is backed by a rock-solid rhythm section that is as bluesy as it gets. Huff Wright (Bass) and Calvin Craddock (Drums) are seasoned veterans and no strangers to the road. They have toured with many notable artists including Lucky Peterson, Bill Wharton, Joey Gilmore and Ace Moreland, among others, providing the perfect canvas for Selwyns unique brand of swampy, Florida blues!
