Florida does have seasons, not just for hurricanes and warm vs. hotter weather. Join Sarasota County Volunteers and Master Naturalists and Shamrock Park Staff on Friday, July 8 and again on Friday, July 22 from 8-10 a.m. to stroll the trails, relying on changing seasons to bring us new flowers and bird’s nests, insects and animal activity. A little serendipity will find things in unexpected places! If you can’t make it for this event, be sure to check for future 2nd and 4th Fridays for more Seasons and Serendipity at Shamrock Park! Shamrock Park contains some of the last remaining scrub habitat in coastal Sarasota County, supporting populations of the endangered Florida scrub-jay and gopher tortoise.
